Assistant Chief Jeff Ward came to the Seminole County Fire Department in May of 1988, after working nearly seven years as an Engineer/Paramedic with the Palatka Fire Department.  Chief Ward has spent much of his 27 years with the SCFD working in Special Operations and was one of the first members of the Special Hazards and Operations Team which was organized in 1992.  Throughout his tenure with the SCFD, Chief Ward has served in the Training Section as both a Lieutenant and a Battalion Chief, was the original Coordinator of the Department’s Air Operations Section from 1999-2001, Battalion Chief in Battalion One/ C-shift and as the Division Chief over Special Operations prior to his current assignment to Assistant Chief of Professional Standards and Training.
